OnLocation is a geo locative storytelling system for education and the real world that pins LOCAL stories to the GLOBAL map and vice versa.

Beginning with a remit to explore the concept of digital openness by way of using open source content to engage with communities in creative ways, be that through open access data, content and ideas, OnLocation has developed into a working and useable prototype collaborative project with an interactive geo-tagged, browser-based digital platform that can host and present multi-media content in a dynamic way.

OnLocation will be showcased during DE2013 to curate and create conference specific content in a live environment. This will enable delegates to engage with OnLocation in a participatory sense or simply enjoy content streams captured and produced by a team of digital reporters from the University of Salford who will be assigned to work the DE2013 patch throughout the conference.
